my Inspiron 15R SE 7520 screen will just go black randomly. Like sleep mode but nothing wakes it up.

Hi Emg_Tumba,

We understand how frustrating it can be when your computer does not seem to work properly. The links provided here would be helpful in troubleshooting and resolving the issues you are facing with your system.

Please click on the link below and update the video, audio, touchpad drivers and BIOS on your Dell Inspiron 15R 7520. Select the operating system prior to downloading drivers.

Plug your computer to a good, working UPS before you update the BIOS. If you experience a loss of AC power or a significant voltage sag/spike during the BIOS flash, you will either have to replace the BIOS chip or motherboard. Also, remove any external devices connected to the computer or any cd/dvds from the optical drive prior to the BIOS flash.

You can check this link for steps on downloading and installing BIOS: http://dell.to/11Of94U

An additional helpful link for a  troubleshooting Guide for the Inspiron 15R/7520 is provided below:

Hope this resolves the issue for you. Please reply if you need further assistance.

Thanks and regards,
Babita S
